Eating disorders are headline news in the UK today, but anorexia and bulimia are no different to any other weight and eating problems.

Headline news in the UK today is all about how certain websites have been seen to be promoting eating disorders. We don’t have any statistics but the main two types of eating disorder commonly discussed are anorexia and bulimia, both of which are extremely unhealthy for the individuals concerned.

Anorexia and bulimia are, in fact, no different to yo-yo dieting, over eating and other eating issues in terms of them stemming from an emotional trigger.

As with all similar weight and eating problems, it’s not about what you put in your mouth but the reasons you put it in there in the first place. Work that out and getting to the right weight, shape and size for you will come so much more easily.

If you want more information on the subject of eating disorders and how to deal with them we examine that topic in Chapter 4 of the How Many Calories Toolkit – Travel Guide.
