Exercise – Memories of the school playing field?
Do you think of exercise as standing out on some windy and rainy playing field wearing not much more than a nylon shirt and a pair of shorts / gym knickers while the teacher was huddled in a great big coat and the ‘chosen ones’ were running rings around everyone else?
You are not alone. Many people had this experience and unfortunately it defines their thinking about exercise for the rest of their lives.
We all know the benefits to exercise but, as you know, we don’t advise people to use exercise to get you slim. You have to have your eating sorted for that to happen, but there is no doubt exercise is a great way of accelerating your move to goal weight. It is also how you get all toned and ‘buff’ looking!
Most people, once they’ve had a bit of a play, find that there is something they enjoy doing. Even if you never really got on with exercise, or have been off it for whatever reason, how good would you feel if you got back into it?
Just remember it’s your life so do what you enjoy and funnily enough you will do more of it, and enjoy it even more.
